several people asked me to stock the setting tools for the 12mm to 15mm military snaps we sell. So here they are. This set is to set standard snap top and bottoms. the small base is reversible, use the hole punch to make a hole in fabric if needed, then the base and setting tool with either smooth side up for the top or indented side for the bottom. I also send you a instruction sheet to show you how.( Not pictured )
INSTRUCTIONS:  first figure out where you want the snap. Use the punch cutter item in the middle to cut a hole in fabric or leather. Make sure you use a flat surface under the punch and some thick cardboard or a piece of wood to absorb you tapping on the end of the punch. position the punch over the spot where you want the bottom snap portion. Use a small hammer and tap the back of the punch to cut through your fabric. Place the small disc under where you just placed the hole. Bottom snaps use the side with several circles inside each other. Used bottom snap stud post poke through bottom of fabric, lay top of stud lays on top of it. use setting tool and a small hammer tap the top of the post rounded end down till the post folds over and secures the stud. Now the top. mark the fabric with a pencil where it will line up in the center with the bottom. Place hole in fabric by using the punch where you want it. place the round snap cap head face down in the smooth holing plate. Lay the fabric over the cap poke the small stub through fabric. Lay the socket over the cap cup side up. Use the snap setting tool rounded side down and tap with a small hammer till the small center post folds over and secures the snap.
